Dr. Linda Lin is a licensed clinical psychologist and Professor of Psychology at Emmanuel College whose work focuses on the science of mental health, well-being, and social connection. She is known for translating rigorous psychological research into clear, practical insights for diverse audiences. For more than 25 years, she has conducted research and published dozens of peer-reviewed scientific journal articles and book chapters on health and well-being. She has delivered over 100 presentations to academic, healthcare, nonprofit, and corporate groups, addressing topics such as the science of happiness and well-being, combating loneliness, stress management, and strengthening relationships in families, schools, and workplaces. In addition to teaching courses in mental health, counseling, and the psychology of happiness, Dr. Lin has worked as a psychotherapist in major medical centers in Boston. She earned her Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and completed her postdoctoral training at Boston University School of Medicine.

Matt is the Head Coach for the U.S. Cross Country Ski Team. He began working with the team in 2006, and has coached it through four Olympics, where in 2018, Jessie Diggins and Kikkan Randall won a gold medal. The team hadn't won a medal at the Olympics since 1976. The team picked up another two medals at the Beijing 2022 Olympics, when Jessie captured a bronze and a silver.
