Gregg Deal, (Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe) is a multi-disciplinary artist, activist, and "disruptor." His work is informed by his Native identity and includes exhaustive critiques of American society, politics, popular culture and history. Through paintings, murals, performance work, filmmaking, spoken word, and lectures, Deal invites the viewer to confront these issues both in the present and the past tense.

In a 2022 Tedx Talk, Deal described his work as honoring Indigenous experiences, challenging stereotypes, and using history for accurate representations of Indigenous people in art. It is in these "disruptions" of stereotypes and ahistorical representations which Deal uses the term to describe his work. Gregg Deal has exhibited his work at notable institutions both locally, nationally, and internationally including the Denver Art Museum, RedLine Gallery, and The Smithsonian Institution. The artist currently lives with his wife and five children along the Front Range of Colorado.

Luger holds a B.A. in History & Native American Studies from Dartmouth College and an M.S. in Journalism from Columbia University. Riley is a member of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation and is an internationally-renowned Indigenous rights scholar. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Oklahoma and her law degree from Harvard Law School. In 2003, she became the first female and youngest Justice of the Supreme Court of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation. She has served as Chief Justice since 2010. She currently also sits as an Appellate Judge for both the Rincon Tribe Court of Appeals and the Pokagon Potawatomi Court of Appeals. She previously served as Co-Chair for the United Nations - Indigenous Peoples’ Partnership Policy Board.

Angela is a Professor of Law at UCLA School of Law and serves as Director of the Native Nations Law and Policy Center. She is Special Advisor to UCLA’s Chancellor on Native American and Indigenous Affairs. She previously served as the Oneida Indian Nation Visiting Professor of Law at Harvard Law School and annually teaches a Nation Building class at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government. Her research focuses on issues related to Indigenous peoples’ rights, with an emphasis on cultural property and Native governance. Angela’s work has been published in the nation’s most elite legal journals as well as the New York Times and others.

She has delivered keynote addresses around the globe on the subject of Indigenous Peoples' rights and is a well-respected thought leader in the field. She was raised on a farm at Saddle Mountain in southwestern Oklahoma where she learned to butcher chickens, chop cotton, castrate hogs, and live free. She now resides with her family in Los Angeles, California.

Ryann Monteiro is an Aquinnah Wampanoag educator and sociologist whose work focuses on Indigenous sovereignty, racial equity, and structural accountability. Trained in public health and the social sciences, she brings over a decade of experience working with nonprofits, healthcare systems, and tribal organizations and governments. Her interdisciplinary lens helps organizations critically examine the histories and systems that shape their work today.

Ryann's classes center Indigenous knowledge systems as living frameworks for justice, exploring topics such as land acknowledgments, power sharing, health equity, and institutional responsibility. Her facilitation style invites participants to move beyond performance toward meaningful, values-driven change rooted in community and collective care.

Dr. Linda Lin is a licensed clinical psychologist and Professor of Psychology at Emmanuel College whose work focuses on the science of mental health, well-being, and social connection. She is known for translating rigorous psychological research into clear, practical insights for diverse audiences. For more than 25 years, she has conducted research and published dozens of peer-reviewed scientific journal articles and book chapters on health and well-being. She has delivered over 100 presentations to academic, healthcare, nonprofit, and corporate groups, addressing topics such as the science of happiness and well-being, combating loneliness, stress management, and strengthening relationships in families, schools, and workplaces. In addition to teaching courses in mental health, counseling, and the psychology of happiness, Dr. Lin has worked as a psychotherapist in major medical centers in Boston. I’m a social entrepreneur and education operator who has spent my career building teams, leading complex organizations, and driving results in high-stakes environments.

I’m the co-founder of Backrs, a tech-enabled platform that helps students build skills, networks, and momentum toward strong postsecondary and early-career outcomes. As a founder, I’ve led product development, sales, partnerships, hiring, and team management, while scaling a B2B2C model across schools, universities, and nonprofit partners nationwide. My day-to-day work is less about ideas and more about execution: setting priorities, building systems, managing people, and making tradeoffs when resources are tight.

Before founding Backrs, I spent over a decade leading in K-12 education, including serving as a founding principal, turnaround high school principal, and Head of Schools. In those roles, I managed multi-million-dollar budgets, coached and evaluated senior leaders, built leadership pipelines, and led teams through rapid change. I’ve been responsible for improving performance, retention, culture, and outcomes at both the school and system level — often while navigating competing stakeholder demands and significant constraints.

I approach management as a craft that can be taught, practiced, and refined. My facilitation and trainings focus on practical leadership skills: decision-making under pressure, building aligned teams, coaching for performance, setting clear expectations, and designing systems that scale without burning people out. I draw heavily on real operating experience — what worked, what failed, and why.

Outside of work, I’m an ultramarathon runner, competing in 12-hour, 24-hour, and 100-mile races. Endurance sports have deeply shaped how I think about leadership: pacing, resilience, feedback loops, recovery, and the long game. I believe the same principles that apply to elite endurance performance apply to building strong teams and sustainable organizations.
